Caudalie French Kiss Lip Balm (£10.00)
I'm not sure what I love more: the cute wooden pot or the creamy balm that's inside. Caudalie are known for their beautiful skincare, but this is their first forray into colour cosmetics (that I know of) and I couldn't be happier about it. Available in three shades (an understated pink, a richer pink and a dusty-mauve pink,) these little pots hold a blend of Beeswax, Aloe Vera and Sunflower Oil to provide deeply moisturising and protective properties with a wash of subtle colour and illuminating shine. The result isn't super obvious and these are definitely for those seeking an understated way to add a subtle flush of colour, but they do look and feel fab.
Soap & Glory Spectaculips Matte Allic Lip Cream (£8.00)
Metallic lips are so on-trend for autumn, and Soap & Glory have created their own unique take on the look with these Spectaculips Matte Allic creams; they could be confused with a highlighter, but these apply to lips like a dream and coat them in a comfortable metallic sheen that visually increases the size of your pout. Not one for the lighthearted, these provide such an affordable way to buy into the trend and try something new.
Inika Lip Serum (£17.00)
When I took this bright yellow tube out of its pack I didn't know what the hell to expect, but once applied to the lips this certified organic lip serum helps to provide a hit of hydration for nourished and beautiful lips. Including a mix of Jojoba, Sunflower and Rosehip Oils, the serum works to condition lips and form a protective barrier for long-lasting softness; Mandarin Orange Extract, Orange Essential Oil and Vitamin E helps to detoxify and hydrate the skin, while Sea Buckthorn provides essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Suffice to say this packs a punch and is a beautiful way to look after your lips, especially as the colder weather sets in and they start to feel parched.
GlamGlow PoutMud Wet Lip Balm Treatment (£16.00)
Almost like a mini face mask for your lips, these super cute metallic pots of colour help to infuse a tonne of moisture while subtly helping to plump up lips simultaneously. With seven shades to choose from and a minty fresh fragrance, these 'treatments' are a delight to anyone who loves a lip balm. The unique combination of Sweet Almond Oil, Cocoa Butter, Murumuru Butter, Shea Butter, Tamanu Oil and Babassu Oil help to really take care of lips in the short and long term - even if the formula is a little gloopy for my liking.
Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip (£16.00)
You can't go wrong with a nude matte lip shade during the autumn months, and these new formulas from Pixi are just the ticket. Infused with Rosehip Oil for both hydration benefits and a blooming great smell, they apply beautifully and coat the lips in a consistent colour that's also comfortable to wear. I really like the shape of the wand, which helps to create a precise line around the lips, and the fact this is easy to re-apply too - far too many matte products dry out the lips and leave them feeling so uncomfortable, so re-applying too many times isn't an option. This, on the other hand ticks all my boxes without costing a fortune.

It's a really great concept and makes total sense - we look after the rest of our skin, so why not our lips!
