Cookie & Hand Cream Strawberry (£9.25)
If you love cookies, ice cream or strawberry scented things then OHMIGOD you'll adore this. It's an extremely lightweight and almost 'whipped' cream that contains flecks that look like cookie, but dissolve when massaged into the hand. The smell is incredibly realistic and not at all synthetic, while the cream helps to delicately hydrate hands; the little pot may not be the most practical, but this is so good you'll probably want to eat it. But don't - it won't end well.
Mai Couture Blotting Paper (£10.00)
Adding to their super cool makeup range that includes sheets of foundation, blush and bronzer for you to apply on the go, Mai Couture are taking it back to basics with a range of three blotting papers that help to reduce shine. What's clever and almost 'why hasn't anyone thought of this before' about them, is that they're enriched with either Vitamin E, Rosehip or Charcoal to provide skincare benefits at the same time. Choose from the antioxidant properties of Vitamin E & C, the soothing properties of Rosehip or the cleansing and purifying benefits of Charcoal. Genius eh?
Lash Out Loud Mascara Wands (£5.50)
When I first got my hands on these I thought they were those annoying disposable wands they use on you in department stores, but upon second glance I realised the concept was genius. If you love a particular mascara formula and want to change up the results, then these individual wands allow you to volumise, curl or lengthen all from the same tube. I love the idea for traveling, or just for changing up your fave brand, and it's such an affordable way to mix up your beauty regime. Always the little things that get me excited eh?
It's Skin Macaron Lip Balm Pineapple (£6.50)
Anything macaron related and I'm there with bells on: available in three flavours (apple, strawberry or pineapple,) this little pot of lip balm is totally a novelty but it's blooming cute regardless. The lip balm itself is scented well and not at all greasy, although nothing revolutionary, but that doesn't mean you won't want one! Opening up a sweet treat that gives you all the joy and none of the calories, is always a good idea.
Babyface Petit Highlighter (£7.00)
Another product that's cute, fun and all about the novelty factor (because makeup is supposed to be fun,) is this compact highlighter pot that comes with its own vintage looking puff. If you're a bit scared of highlighter then the shade and shimmery-ness of this is totally understated and wearable, while the puff allows you to apply gently for a natural inner glow rather than a hardcore Kardashian highlight. And everyone wants cosmetics with cute faces on!
Oilixia Australian Kakadu Plum Gummy Facial Cleanser (£24.00)
Cleansers are ten a penny, but sometimes one comes along that surprises and delights. This gummy cleanser is really quite tacky when you apply, but when mixed with water it emulsifies to lift away dirt and grime effectively. Enriched with antioxidant Kakadu Plum (which is native to Australia’s Northern Territory and Arnhem Land,) it's one of the best natural sources of Vitamin C (essential in the fight against ageing and to restore brighness.) The formula is also rich in phenolic acid (for gentle exfoliation) and antibacterial Eucalyptus for an invigorating experience that you'll love. It's not cheap, but it is worth it - and sometimes it's worth trying something totally new.
Fairydrops Scandal Queen Waterproof Mascara (£18.50)
A cult product that most people either love or hate, I have to admit the first few times I tried this I wasn't a fan. I found it clumped and didn't exactly lift or curl my lashes, creating more of a mess than an eviable lash line. However, after the co-founder of BeautyMART (Millie Kendal) told me to layer and leave time for each coat to dry, immediately my experience changed; I find this is great for lifting and creating long-lasting curl, as well as definition exactly where I want it. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but when you do it's easy to understand why it's such a cult product.
Barely Cosmetics Definer Sponge Soft Pink (£10.00)
I've been obsessed with the Barely sponges since I discovered them last year, because their unique angled tips helps to get my base into the smallest corners of my face. I find they wash up brilliantly and really help to create the most flawless base, no matter which foundation or BB cream I'm using - so much so that I now have a huge stash that are always on rotation. This new collection appeals to our inner colour maven by taking their winning formula and making it either pale pink or lilac; it's the same fab blending sponge, but this time it's a touch more girlie.
